Senior Caseworker
Sanjiv Karki is a Law and Management Graduate with a strong background in working for private firms involved in Consultancy and Events Management. He successfully achieved an MBA for Executives from Cardiff Metropolitan University. Sanjiv’s keen interest in all aspects of the legal field propelled him into undertaking a Common Professional Examination (CPE), Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Studies and progressing to successfully completing an LLM (Masters of Law) from London Southbank University, focusing his research on the historic injustice suffered by ex-Gurkha Soldiers and the legal issues surrounding this.
Furthermore, Sanjiv was part of the Casework team on a reported case in the Court of Appeal (The Queen on Application of Gurung & others). He still works closely with ex-Gurkha Soldiers, Bhutanese, Nepalese and Migrants from all other communities who are in need of immigration help, along with specialising in a variety of other immigration matters.
His ability to handle complex legal issues methodically, coupled with his managerial skills, strong community ties and fluency in Nepali, Hindi and Punjabi, has led his career path naturally into the field of Immigration.
